Indeed, the Dordogne is the country of 1001 castles and a thousand flavors.

Thus, you can visit exceptional cities such as Sarlat-la-Canéda, Bergerac, Périgueux, Brantome (the Venice of Périgord), small typical villages (Saint-Jean-de-Côle, …), archaeological sites, caves (Lascaux), the ecomuseum of the Truffle of Sorges, historical sites (forge of Savignac, paper museum of Vaux de Payzac), … to name just a few examples.

The gastronomy also makes the reputation of the Périgord (foie gras, duck, truffle, nuts, strawberries, honey, …)

You will be able to recharge your batteries thanks to the many sports and family activities available to you: hiking or cycling, velorail of Corgnac-sur-l'Isle nearby, climbing, tree climbing, canoe descent, gabarre ride on the Dordogne, fishing, golf at the exit of Excideuil, magnificent hot air balloon flight above the castles, leisure center of Rouffiac (Beach, pedal boat, ski lift, paddle, sailing, …)

Back in our cottage located in Excideuil in Périgord Vert and labeled "Small City of Character", you can enjoy, away from the crowds, peaceful evenings and relax in the spa (optional) or swim a few lengths in the salt pool (5 x 10 m).
